At the edge of eastern Poland, in a place you won’t find on any map, lies the village of Pokutno. It is from there that the legend of three men was born — men who could see the sins of the modern world. Their songs were not ordinary melodies – they were prophecies, warnings, and at the same time, cures. From this tale grows the latest album by Somethingski – “Them Sinners”
The record is a cycle of ten songs forming a kind of musical ritual. Each track confronts a different sin: indifference, pride, illusion, forgetfulness of nature, war, or empty prayers. Yet these are not sermons – they are raw, emotional stories, filled with both light and darkness. This is music that places the listener at the very heart of conflict and gives them a task: to find the cure in sound, in words, and within themselves.
The sound of “Them Sinners” blends folk mysticism, punk defiance, and poetic sensitivity. Somethingski draws from the tradition of Eastern European song and the energy of contemporary alternative scenes. Acoustic instruments meet electric grit, subtle melodies intertwine with shouts and trance-like rhythms. It’s music that refuses to leave you indifferent.
The album was born as a response to the chaos of today’s world. In times when everything burns – from forests to human connections – “Them Sinners” stands as an act of artistic resistance. It is not merely a collection of songs, but a cohesive story about endings and beginnings. A reminder that every sin can be overcome — if we dare to face its shadow.
In its live form, the album gains an entirely new power. Somethingski’s concerts are not ordinary performances – they are rituals, immersive spectacles where music, light, and storytelling guide the audience through each chapter of the tale. The crowd becomes part of a shared ceremony, where art transcends entertainment and turns into a profound experience.
“Them Sinners” is the most mature work in Somethingski’s catalogue. It weaves the local myth of Pokutno with universal questions about the condition of modern humanity — a story of sins and their remedies, of downfall and hope. An album that, like its protagonists, does not offer easy answers – but dares to ask the right questions.

O SOMETHINGSKI TRIO
Somethingski Trio is a bold, emotionally charged music project led by vocalist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Nikodem Soszyński (vocal, banjo, guitar, drums), whose artistic roots reach back to many years of intensive touring with the internationally recognized band Freeborn Brothers. Known for his energetic, theatrical performances and unconventional approach to composition, Niko joins forces with two outstanding musicians: Adam Dragan (violin, viola) and Dominik Pyziński (bass guitar, double bass). Together they form a trio that blends folk, punk, world music, and poetic storytelling into a powerful and unmistakable whole.
The band made its debut in 2021 with the album THINGS — an eclectic collection inspired by folk, rock, and Polish pop of the 1970s. The single “Na Dolinach” quickly reached No. 1 on the Podkarpackie Regional Chart, drawing attention to the group’s fresh and unpredictable style. In 2022, Somethingski Trio released the album PUSZCZA, created in collaboration with the award-winning folk vocalist Daria Kosiek and rooted in the musical traditions of the Lasowiacy region. Interpreted through a contemporary sensibility, the material earned the band a place in the finals of the prestigious Mikołajki Folkowe 2022 competition.
Their third album, Howl We Are Free (2023), expanded the band’s sound, combining dynamic folk-punk energy with a more introspective songwriting approach. The singles “Holy, Holy” and “Od Północy do Południa” gained radio popularity, with the latter spending several weeks on the Radio Rzeszów chart.
In 2025, Somethingski Trio unveiled their most ambitious project to date — the concept album THEM SINNERS. The ten tracks form a musical ritual confronting the “sins of the modern world,” such as alienation, blind faith, pride, indifference, war, and the loss of connection with nature. Described by the band as a sonic rite, the album blends Eastern European mysticism with punk rebellion and raw emotional intensity.
That same year, the group reached the finals of the Craft Music City competition in Opole. In 2026, THEM SINNERS was nominated by Polish Radio Rzeszów for the Audience Award for Album of the Year 2025 — and ultimately won the prize, confirming the band’s strong bond with listeners.
On stage, Somethingski Trio is known for intense, high-energy concerts where humor intertwines with deep emotional experience. Their performances are wild yet intimate — a fusion of storytelling, rhythm, and primal expression. The sound of banjo, violin, and double bass combined with a powerful vocal delivery creates music that is earthy, honest, and memorable.
The band has toured extensively across Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Slovakia, France, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, and Brazil, performing at numerous festivals and renowned clubs across the European alternative scene.
With each new release and tour, Somethingski Trio continues to evolve, crafting a unique blend of folk tradition, punk temperament, and poetic depth. THEM SINNERS solidifies their position as one of the most original voices on the contemporary folk and alternative music scene — a band unafraid to confront darkness while celebrating human resilience.
